Buy a new mattress to relieve back pain?
Researchers in Spain say,
A solid spring mattress may be better than a solid one.
In a recent multi-center trial, the team evaluated 313 adults who had frequent backache while lying in bed and getting up.
The study participants were told that the researchers were testing whether the new mattress would help to relieve back pain.
They did not know that two attacks were being investigated.
Replace old mattress with medium mattress
The firm and firm mattresses relieved back pain after 90 days.
Those who sleep in the media
Firmmattreses, however, reported less back pain than those designated firmones when lying in bed, rising, and during the day.
Soft mattresses were not included in the study.
