The Prairie industrial park destroyed a mattress factory.
The fire began around 5: 30. m.
Saturday at Marco.
Polo Avenue near Henry
East Bursa Avenue.
Almost 100 firefighters were called to the scene.
It took them about seven hours to completely put out the flames.
Ian Ritchie, head of fire operations, said the plant contained a large amount of combustible materials, and the strength of the flame weakened the steel structure of the building.
Rich said firefighters had to put out fire slowly because of the danger of collapse of the building.
Firefighters managed to prevent the fire from spreading to neighboring buildings, but they could not save the Mattress Factory.
This is considered a complete loss.
According to the Montreal Fire Department, no one in the factory and no one was injured at the time of the fire.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
