Q: Can you describe what it looks like?

Q: Why is it still there with all the development around the East Village?
This is a good question for the owners.
The current owners bought the business in 1988, so they have been there for about 28 years.
When we started the project in 08 and 09 we were buying land to support the East Village master plan and we went to ask them if they were interested in selling their website but they kept on until now
There are developments around them and they are highly compressed. . .
But actually, it is no longer the right use for that corner.
Q: How did you get the land?
This is a straight deal.

This spring we started talking about their interest in sales, which is the year they decided to go.
So we came up with a price through negotiation.
Q: So what is the plan for this building?
If there is a need for remediation, we will be aware of this in a short period of time to come, and if that is the case, we will have to do the proper remediation and then we will remove the building.
This is an active gas station so we have to deal with some tanks and other things so some cleanup is needed.
But the fact is that this land will be assembled with other lands on the south side of the Eighth Avenue, and we imagine a larger mixed land

Q: So there is no historical value to try to save according to the design and location?
We are very concerned about the historical assets, you named some of them, Simmons Building, Hillier Block, King Eddie, St. Louis.

The building has no designated historical value, and nothing through our research indicates that it is a historical asset.
If there is something, we will remove them and maybe we can use them in other developments.
Q: What is the timetable for this?
The actual purchase and sale transaction has not yet been completed, and it will not be completed until the end of November, that is, the end of December 1.
We will then go in and evaluate what has to happen with the remedy, and if there is, we will finish the work in the first quarter of next year, and then we will be ready to sell the land, most likely by early 2018.
